I have less than a year to achieve my goal of walking across the stage at graduation. So yeah it is time to start ramping up my workouts like never before. Today, was a great day of work. Woke up at 7 and worked on various foundation and speaking projects and school work. Started my first workout in the morning around 9:30am with my friend/personal trainer Tanner Douglas. I got in my Rifton Walker at the start line of the 100m dash on Luther College’s track. I walked the 100m in 22:34. It was my personal best of the summer, but my goal time is 10min by the end of the summer. Go big or go home! Immediately after, I did arm biking in a lab room where my personal arm bike is stored. However, I no longer arm bike sitting, I stand to bike now. Once again, Go big or go home, Work Hard Win Easy! I was definitely fatigued biking due to a good walk just before. I did two sets of 10min cycling. After, I had the pleasure of working on my biology homework, ok not at all fun. Ate some lunch and lined up our keynote speaker, Ben Utecht, for our August 23rd fundraiser in Rochester, MN. Then at 12:30 off to OT at Winneshiek Medical Center where I worked on shoulder strengthening and grip strength.
The highlight of OT was batting against my OT Jennessa who would toss an inflatable ball and I would hit it with this skinny stick. Well on one occasion I ripped a line drive right back at her which nailed her in the chest and bounced right back to me. She underestimated my strength and caught her sleeping! After OT I went to PT at Euro Team. I had did an array of workouts that involved wearing an extra 20lbs of weight to my body. It was tough but it went really well and my PT Lisa was impressed! Now back to more school work and I will definitely make time for Game 4 of the NBA Finals tonight.
Today was a very productive day but it will take many more productive days if I want to accomplish my goals. Do what you have to do today so you can do what you want to do in the future.
